It covers everything you need to know about how to set up your account, create your character and get through the first 10 levels of the game. A shorter version can be found below on this page.
You will be able to play for an unlimited time on Valinor Island with a generous cap on your ability to level. This will allow you to experience a select few of Ashen Empires' unlimited possibilities and allow you to get to know your community.
To access Ashen Empires, you need two things: an account and the Pixel Mine Launcher.
Setup
1) Create a Pixel Mine Games account (Create your account)
2) Download the Pixel Mine Launcher (Download)
Log in
3) Log in (Launcher will begin patching and restart)
4) Log in again, select Ashen Empires, and press "Play" (Game will begin patching)
Play
5) Once you press play you will be asked to choose a server. If you are unsure which to choose, check here and choose which community would best suit you.
6) Create a character (please choose an appropriate name). Check here to choose which race would best suit you. At this step you must also choose how to distribute your first few orbs (Strength, Intelligence, Constitution, and Dexterity). These stats impact your ability in certain skills. If you are unsure how to distribute your orbs, read more about skills and professions.
Your adventure starts when you find yourself washed up on the shore of Valinor Island. An NPC (Non-Player Character) will speak to you, and set you on the right track. Read NPC speech carefully so that you know exactly what you're doing. If you get lost, just speak to that NPC again, they'll be able to show you the right way.
On Valinor Island, you may see players with VWC in purple text, beside their name. This means they're in a particular guild. VWC is the only guild on Valinor, and they have been picked by the Ashen Empires GMs and Developers to help out new players. If you have any problems on the island, do not hesitate to contact them!
You might want to start talking to other people in the community. To do this, you might want to join a chat channel.To join a channel, simply right-click in your "MAIN" chat box, and select "Join...". In the text box which pops up, enter the channel name. We suggest that new players should join the channel "help." Just type "/who ch:help" in the chat box after you join the help channel to see if anyone is avaliable to help you. Server channels are "legends" for the Legends server and "sanctuary" for the Heroes server. All of your active channels are in green; to leave one simply right click on the chat box and release the mouse over the channel you would like to leave.
